Welcome to Glittering the South, a sparkly but sustainable duo from Southampton.

We started this business in 2022. When the world was still wobbling from the pandemic, my mum Karen took a severance package from the University of Southampton and officially retired!

Turns out, she is terrible at sitting still so started dabbling in a few part time jobs and volunteer work, some she absolutely loved… some she didn’t love so much. Now, Karen is super creative so naturally when I moved out, my bedroom was transformed into a full blown craft cave! So I wanted to help her find a creative job and that is when I stumbled upon Eco Glitter Fun’s Training course. I thought, ‘This is it!’ a practical gift that was sparkly, sustainable and something we could do together.

Fast forward to today, we are 3 years in, loving every glitter filled moment. From Festivals to Weddings to wild Hen Dos, we’ve been lucky enough to be part of some truly magical events. And in 2025 we launched our Glitter Photos, adding 3D sparkle to your photographs, who doesn’t want sparkly photos on their walls?!

We are still growing and very grateful for every single opportunity and sale.
